“The disgraceful news about Harvey Weinstein has appalled those of us whose work he championed, and those whose good and worthy causes he supported. The intrepid women who raised their voices to expose this abuse are our heroes.
One thing can be clarified. Not everybody knew. Harvey supported the work fiercely, was exasperating but respectful with me in our working relationship, and with many others with whom he worked professionally. I didn’t know about these other offenses: I did not know about his financial settlements with actresses and colleagues; I did not know about his having meetings in his hotel room, his bathroom, or other inappropriate, coercive acts. And If everybody knew, I don’t believe that all the investigative reporters in the entertainment and the hard news media would have neglected for decades to write about it.
The behavior is inexcusable, but the abuse of power familiar. Each brave voice that is raised, heard and credited by our watchdog media will ultimately change the game.”

Bullshit Meryl. How is it that you jumped on this, like...breaking a land speed record of spin?

You knew like everyone else did. But you enabled him because Hey, he didn't fuck with you. You know what this statement actually says? She's too stupid and in her own world to care about anyone else, if that's the case. And I completely believe she ignored the stories as well. As long as it meant...the work. Then during your lifetime achievement award, lambasted all the terrible things that Trump has done because your girl lost. Jesus fucking christ Meryl. How long did you think Harvey and your photo wasn't going to come back and haunt you. You are a plugged in as anyone into the business. Or are you? Here's a tip, get off your ivory tower if you want to point fingers. Otherwise, you are judged by the company you keep.
Also, way to point to others as the enablers. Dig it...you called out every actress who took the payment to remain silent. Hey dummy, they're the same that started snitching. Are they heroes or not. Meryl? Your best bet now is to disappear.
