Two Hurricanes In One Year

God is smiting you. SMITING!
In reality, weather sucks. And it's too late to do anything. But for the people who suffered disaster, here's a great opportunity to...rebuild your life.

If it were me (and earthquakes presumably next) I'd get rid of everything I own. I need an act of God to allow me the strength to ditch the shit I already have. Because, frankly, I forget most of everything I have and use a fraction of it.  BUT...here's the rub...memories are buried in there somewhere.

A friend of mine and I talked about this recently, what would he save if there was catastrophe in his home. His quick answer...all his hard drives. Because they contain all his irreplaceable memories. I think I'd just save my film. Or...teddy bear. Or shit I really cared about. There are VHS tapes that have memories. Not porno like memories but memories. But The weird thing...more than likely you move on quickly from it. And that should say a lot about what is really important to you.

Maybe I could preemptively start ditching some stuff. Most of it is to make movies, so it's hard to sift through that stuff without having it and needing it rather than needing it and not having it.
Stay safe friends.
