Crushed Under The Thumb Of Despair

We make movies to express our displeasure with life. Sort of. A running commentary on where it went right or wrong.

Most filmmakers like Oliver Stone try to use it to bend thoughts and opinions. His new stance (which is probably his old stance) was "Hey lookit' how awful the powers that be are!" Michael Moore with intelligence.

I'm not sure where Hollywood got the idea to comment on society that is present. Since, most movies take months to complete. The hot topic may likely be moot at that point. I recall a movie called "Gentleman's Agreement" which had Gregory Peck pose as a Jew in order to stay at a hotel. You see the anti-semitism through a journalist's eyes. It's ugly, but seemed...diluted simply because it's Gregory Peck in which at any point he could just raise his hand and say "hey, pal...I'm not a Jew."

Brown people and foreign people in America must function different. We can't even fathom "experimenting" to see what White folk will do. It's not really...maybe the answer isn't what we want to hear.
