The Principal's Principles

A high school principal was recently fired for siding with the police in regards to the police officer that tackled the bikini clad black girl. I’m not sure what policy is intact at that school. But it’s a high school in Florida, whilst this incident occurred in Texas. I understand why they had to do it. Because he publicly took a side, to which could’ve shaken the confidence of his students and their parents. Principals of high schools probably shouldn’t share their thoughts. They should regulate school and exhibit fairness. NOT give their opinion on something that didn’t even concern him.
Now…I do think about this some times. I share my views on right and wrong on this blog. Should I be held accountable for my thoughts? Well, I’m not in any position to shape young minds. And I’m certainly not suggesting I should be. I think when something this terrible happens, it would probably be best to remain neutral. If not for just the basic common sense of being in administration. HOWEVER…
What is sad is that we aren’t allowed to just let people say what they wanna say anymore. America is at a point where we regulate practically everything we say or do. We may not necessarily throw you into prison, but there is a group think that ostracizes you. Casts you out the new world without a second chance. For speaking your mind. We embrace our Constitution so much, but out of the other side of our mouth we admonish speech. If it were me, I’d use this opportunity to open up a debate as to why he felt the way he did about the situation, with other students. Give the students an opportunity to discuss his position. You know…civics lesson the shit out of it.
This version of America sucks. Comedians can’t even tell jokes for fear they can’t be picked up by corporations. Ask Seinfeld. The guy refuses to go on college campuses now because the PC police are such assholes. By the way, the PC police is Americans. And social media was a game changer. If one person is offended, the world shuts down. How does this make us any better than China? At least they make no bones about it. We attempt to hide ourselves behind the parts of the Constitution we like. Toss away the ones that hurt our feelings. Whatever happened to just turning off the television or leaving a comedy show? We’ve completely trashed accountability. For what price? America thrived because we had radical thinkers. Today…those who think outside the box are silenced. Because you can’t make a product that won’t get you sued, or have a thought that wouldn’t get you banned.
Consider Henry Ford, a notorious anti-Semite. If he lived today, we would’ve destroyed his career before he even innovated the car manufacture business. And some would say then we’d get cars elsewhere. You’d be an idiot. Because back then we saw the bigger picture. His personal beliefs didn’t corrupt his ability to make America grow. Us as a whole.
Things like this fucking piss me off. If I found out Elon Musk hated Asian people, I’d still be rooting for him to succeed. Because, despite his feelings, he would innovate past the gasoline dependent cars. So we’d save a ton more lives not having to go to the Middle East.
