A 17 year old Muslim girl won after the Supreme Court ruled you that you can't discriminate in the hiring practices of anyone due to religion or disability to work at your company. I think this is wrong.
Not for the fact that she is a Muslim, but because business should be able to hire based on how they feel their presence could effect business. I'm never going to sell makeup at Macy's. Would I consider that sexual discrimination? Nope. Because I realize this is an appearance based business. As is A&F. They are exclusionary. Good. Fuck them. That's how you make a business change their model. Let the people speak. NOT allow the Supreme Court to step in and shit all over their business. IF the public was really this outraged, they'd put them out of business. That's the FUCKING point of democracy. But instead...they lean on the interpretation of law. Fine. You have tenure and can't get booted unless you die. So most will wave that flag, since it's better to be remembered for noble stances on history.
This is the shit that drives me nuts. Because we supposedly live in a country that prides itself on people knowing right and wrong. THEN force feed us their belief what is right or wrong. I honestly don't get this shit. And yeah, some of you fuckwads are going to throw out that garbage "If you don't understand I feel sorry for you?" Really? You feel sorry that I want the public and majority to guide the country's decisions? Others would say "well, that's how slavery ended, by force." Yeah, but the majority of the Union felt slavery was awful. And a clear affront to the Constitution. Is this a stance for the Constitution? NO. It's a borderline homosexual clothing shop. Get the fuck over yourselves, Supreme Court.
How exactly did this help our society, is what you really should ask yourselves. Did we improve it by this action, or did we waste precious time (tax payer money) on the STUPIDEST FUCKING thing. Way to work small to big. Everyone wants to be a crusader. Never where it really matters.
Also, I should add...you realize this idiot 17 year old just used our laws to uphold women's subjugation in her own fucked up country. Yeah, you didn't really think that one through.
