Wendy Bell, an anchor for a Putzburgh, um...Pittsburgh news station WTAE-TV got canned for posting a frustrating tweet:
“You needn’t be a criminal profiler to draw a mental sketch of the killers who broke so many hearts.
They are young black men, likely teens or in their early 20s. They
have multiple siblings from multiple fathers and their mothers work
multiple jobs. These boys have been in the system before. They’ve grown
up there. They know the police. They’ve been arrested."
Was she right, class? How many fucking characters does SHE get anyway?
Anyway, I suppose they fired her because she told what she thought was the truth. Which...y'know...they paid her for years to do...supposedly. I guess they don't like opinions, though fallen on harsh truth. S'pose they didn't want viewers to tune out, what little is left.
I'm not sure, but it seems such a waste to have someone you've worked with so long to ditch them after one post. Maybe with enough wrongful termination, we would come back to our senses.
Let's face it, in the world of shameless pandering (Kardashian) it's perplexing to pick on a tiny market anchor for expressing one view. Perhaps, she should feel lucky she is out of that town.
