In order to please everyone (whilst not pleasing anyone at all) Starbucks elected to forego the usually "Christmas" cups and go with a universal red holiday cup.
Enter false outrage and free publicity for Starbucks.
I really don't think there's an issue here. Most Americans don't even care anymore. Religion only exists for those extremes. And...well, we're too tired and busy. If there were any type of anger, I would say it's just to fill in boredom.
So, politicians will latch on to attempt to get your vote. But for the most part, I'll just take coffee where I can get it.
Which incidentally, reminds me I should cut back anyway.
