J.T. Barrett & Driving While Intoxicated

J.T. Barrett, the starting quarterback for THE Ohio State Buckeyes...for the last two weeks anyway, got busted for operating a vehicle while drunk or high. Who knows.
Look...
I don't condone drunk driving at all.
But...
...don't people become famous so that they can get out of situations like this? Rich, talented people should get special treatment. Sick of the people who say they shouldn't. Remember when Zsa Zsa smacked that cop for being rude? That's fucking funny. If she were Jane-schmoe, she'd have been Taser'd. How about O.J. Simpson killing his ex-wife and that waiter? That's WHY you become rich and famous and good at something. Why try for anything great, if the world doesn't allow you to do crazy shit every once in a while?

I know, you assholes who think everyone should be treated the same. Tell beautiful people that. They get great treatment daily. And that shit wasn't even earned. A girl with a big rack sheds a few tears (while bouncing up and down)...get preferential treatment. Let's not kid ourselves. Recently, a cop gave a warning to an NFL player speeding in exchange for an autograph. That's a $300+ ticket.

Anyway, I get why we all want to come down hard on this kid. But I wouldn't doubt any sports fan hasn't operated a vehicle while a little buzzed. He happens to have a lot of talent, and I'd rather he continue to move forth with a more successful life, then be saddled with a mistake which could turn him into a nightmare of a citizen. And yes, I realize the punishment he got was light (good lawyers do that for you, thank you to my defense attorney Michael C. from Los Angeles). Lighter than most of us regular citizens. But no one pays $200 to sit in the cheap seats to watch me work on movies.
