Kim Davis & The Gay Marriage Stance

In case you didn't know: A federal judge ordered Kim Davis — the defiant Kentucky county clerk who has cited her Christian faith in refusing to issue marriage licenses to gay couples — to jail Thursday afternoon for refusing to carry out the duties of her position.

Why in God's name are we wasting out precious lives on this thing? She's a religious quack and should be punted from her position. Then sign the damn license and move on. Why does this have to be a national debate? Gays should be able to marry, despite an interpretation of a book that says otherwise. Man, the bible, Q'uaran and anything religious base has caused so many issues. To take any of it literally is so...I'm not sure how to put this, but sickens me to think anyone could use those printed words as a way to prevent others from their own lives. That's like if I took "Catcher And The Rye" as gospel and decided everyone was a phony. Oh wait, scratch that reference, because it actually is true. But, let's say someone digs up Tony Robbins, the motivational guru's books up thousands of years later. They'd take a look at his elephantine head and big teeth, and that society would think he were a god and follow his teachings. We'd be fucked (or they would) because of this simpleton belief someone, somewhere in time wrote something to dictate as to how we should act.

This chick should grow the fuck up.
