Middle Aged Female Entertainers

Folks, there is nothing sadder then a middle aged woman who has been toiling in the entertainment business that still treats people like they are in their 20's. For instance, thinking that their looks will get people to snap to attention. I see this a LOT. I have a few people I know like this. They are really annoying. Because the world revolves them, even though, the world has discarded them.

No one likes old in our industry. Unless you're a technician where no one can see your wrinkly face. The ones who tend not to get hired anymore have aged out. Before it was a bit later. Faye Dunaway strikes me as a person where she thinks the world revolved around her and oblivious since she chalks her poor behavior to...this is how it's done.

I know people who just schedule, then re-schedule and re-schedule again...and then show up late. These are incredibly sad people who can't seem to organize their lives. A shit show in life. And they also wonder why roles aren't coming to them. I know guys like this too. Being late to anything is retarded. If you show up late, you are telling everyone they are beneath you. Though you're retarded brain doesn't see it like that, take a look around you and see if it has equaled success. Doubt it.

Now in the old days, there were super stars like Marilyn Monroe. She could do dumb shit like this because she was a box office draw. Boy, she really antagonized Billy Wilder. And she was oblivious to her behavior. Which is the most annoying part. I find most actors do this clueless game. As if their schedule is that important.

She died at 36, so who knows if she'd be like Faye Dunaway. My guess, yes...she would. But her niche act would die fairly fast. Dumb blondes went out with the 60's. Then she'd be sad reminder of what happens to super star blondes. It was almost a blessing she died when she did.

Here's the thing...the new world doesn't have many stars. If any anymore. The longest career'd star now is Tom Cruise and he DOES NOT suffer from this foolishness. He is on time and when he's paid, he is professional. He cares and has enough pull to command this type of behavior. But he doesn't. While he is a strange cat, he IS A PROFESSIONAL.

Now in your private life, and if you are an actor...or just a human being...make sure you give everyone respect of THEIR time. It means more than you realize. There is only a downside to reaching your 40's and thinking you can act like you're 20 to others. Nobody babies a middle aged actress which is why you see many of them throw tantrums.
You are not special.
