I really hope they do this with Paula Patton. Gott-damn! I would watch her read a phone book. But the people may not accept her as "Black enough" similar to how they kilt Zoe Saldana on the Nina Simone movie.
I really liked "The Rocketeer." It was meant to be a re-tread of the serials of the 40's. A test pilot who gets hooked up with a scientist and becomes a flying squirrel. Or cannon fodder. He then gets mixed up in some weird Nazi plot. Nazis are hated no matter what color you are.
Maybe they can update it to the 1960's or 70's. Get some Civil Rights shit in there.
