So, what the fuck happened to Adrian Zmed?
He was a massive star back in the 1980’s with “Bachelor
Party,” AND “Grease 2” and…well any place they needed a greased up jheri curled
White boy. The guy could dance. He played Italian types that weren’t even
Italian. He was also T.J. Hooker’s partner. Holding your own against Bill
Shatner deserves its own pedestal in history.
If you ever needed a sidekick that didn’t overshadow your
lead (in the 80’s ANYONE blond/blonde). Zmed was your man. The guy still works…looks
like.
You will remember this dude. He just pops up. Personally, I
think he overshadowed Tom Hanks in “Bachelor Party.” He was okay to play second
banana, but his ability to take photographs of a tied-up old guy with hookers
is committed.
Being constantly oiled in movies...man...THAT is commitment.
He and Frank Benard were the both the right age and the right look to have been cast as Julien Kaye in the American Gigolo. If that had happened either of them would have been huge stars today with a great filmography.
