Woodrow Wilson: Racist?

Yeah, pretty confirmed the 28th Prez of the U.S. was a racist. A Democrat of all things. I think he was labeled as such when he was President of Princeton, and discouraged Blacks from applying due to KKK influence. Is that racist? We live in a generation now where we all try desperately to be on the right side of history. We've really overcompensated and then fucked up. Think about the failed attempt that was Affirmative Action.

So now students at Princeton want Woody to be deleted from Princeton. Have statues and paintings taken down that have his likeness. This is what it's come down to. NOT making history but attempting to change history. What a crock of shit.

We as a nation are fucking up our history because of what was in our history to build it. Am I implying slavery and the dark murderous nature of our history should be forgotten. No. But it happened. No matter how many Confederate flags you ban or names of schools you change, it's not going to change history. And whatever happened to that notion we all make mistakes. I'm sure Woody, in this day and age, would've been Obama's staunchest supporters. The times change, and we do too.

Also, why should the Wilson family live in any shame of his past deeds? We focus on the dumbest fucking things instead of making things. That should be the focus. Making things is what made us great, not worrying about names of racist on bridges. It's not like driving over that bridge is going to make you racist. And it's not that honorable of a thing anyway. The highways in California are littered with highway patrol who were, most likely, killed in the line of duty. It use to mean something then, not so much now. Shit, rich industrialist like Carnegie, Leland Stanford and the like use to blow massive money to name things after them. Probably 'cause they were bored from being so rich. Look at Zuckerberg giving away the farm to education. His name will be right next to these people. In a few decades, we discover homie funded the wall being built between us and Mexico, you gonna change that name? Probably not.

Stop changing history, start making history. Assholes.
