I'm trying to wrap my mind around people who've killed themselves while posting live on Facebook.
I mean, that's as narcissistic as you can get on your way out.
But, also...kids are on Facebook. And not the cool ones either. The nerdy kids who are friends with their parents still look at adults acting the fool. Sad, depressed adults, who live feed their lives and do something horrible. The worst are the ones who are teenagers, because they were bullied or they see no other thing to do in life. It's heartbreaking. One was of a little girl who just was done with everything. How do you think you know everything at an age below teen? And it's really weird, because back when I was a kid, it was always someone we heard killed themselves. We sure as shit never watched it live, let alone have access to watch these terrible things that happen to people. I mean...that's it. The end.
So please think long and hard about who you will leave if this is the way. And all the public that will be scarred looking at your death online. The residual effect is that we'll stop caring about life.
