Can we PLEASE define "hero" properly?
Humayun Khan was a 27 year old Army captain who walked into an IED. This is not a hero...this is an unfortunate accident. Audie Murphy would be shitting in his khakis if he were alive today...an excerpt of a hero:
"Murphy received the Medal of Honor for valor demonstrated at the age of 19 for single-handedly holding off
an entire company of German soldiers for an hour at the Colmer Pocket in France in January 1945, then leading a successful counterattack while wounded and out of ammunition."
This Khan kid joined the Army to get dough to go to law school. Then met an awful fate. That's like me delivering milk to Sandy Hook on the day of that tragedy, because I need the second job to pay off alimony.
We're so fucking stupid nowadays, we don't even know who the asshole is. Trump is a bully and jerk, but his suspicion of Muslims isn't unwarranted. Consider that the guy who killed this kid was Muslim. But we wouldn't want to re-direct that logic.
Anyway, what's the deal with their family referring to him as a Muslim-American anyway. He's just a fucking American. Or is he? Who fucking knows. I would never say I'm a Agnostic-American. That stinks stinks STINKS of public relations shit. Perhaps a book deal. Who fucking knows. The fact that these assholes use their son's death for an agenda towards national security is pretty awful. I get it, the pain must be paid for. Perhaps it's not American American lives that must write this check anymore.
