Last night I asked someone what this meant to her. She is a Leftist. Mild one but a Leftist, nonetheless.
She didn't have an answer other than to say history has been set up to put the Black man down.
I didn't get too much into it, because if you believe that, there is no solution. Well, there is one, which is what Black Lives Matter Corporation is trying to do. Dismantle the system in place and rebuild in their image. Which is Marxist based. So there's that.
That will never happen. Too many people in America that will wise up to this supposed cause.
It baffles me how Black lives don't matter when this weekend in Chicago, 15 people were murdered. Black on Black crime.
Most of my Black friends are in their 40's if not 50's. And they believe it's also overblown nonsense. None of the people in this generation felt oppressed. There have been moments where there were moments of bigotry but for the most part America is THE least racist country in the world. As I've said before, what other country outside of Africa has had a Black president. The answer: None. The world is racist. America is actually a place where the Black man/woman can thrive. If their mindset is corrected. And most have. It's not that they are "acting White" to be successful in this country. Blacks are REALLY prideful. It's that the country they were born into, have adopted AMERICAN culture. I don't see a lot of any specific culture as THEIR culture in America (unless it's blasted in your face like that garbage ranchero music...fuck, it's awful. And oddly German, I mean...accordions?) But integrated into America, it becomes American. That is the beauty of America. There is no official culture. So somehow Blacks have always felt like visitors in their own country. Which is the saddest part. They deserve much of what America has to offer more than anyone. And to be honest...it typically is. They appreciate it like any other American. Take it for granted like any other American. But somehow the term "systemic racism" has been used to show how centuries of oppression have taken wealth away from them.
I can go into the breakdown of it all, how it was design to have Blacks fail. And, therefore, they've justified the violence within their community, but I have to say...all this is more stirred up by radical White Leftist who embolden the anger. If you, as Black person, don't believe you are oppressed, they will convince you you are.
So oppressed that they pay the majority sports figures million dollar contracts to play a child's game. So oppressed that they created programs that give you preferential treatment to job hires. In the NFL they have something called "The Rooney Rule" which forces owners to look at Black coaches first. So many education programs. So many welfare handouts. MONEY DOES NOT CURE THIS.
And the answer is unpopular. The Black community needs to shift their victim mindset away from the Leftist plantation. You don't have to go completely Right, but just get off their plantation first and just be an independent thinker. Many are. Decades of Leftist run cities that have failed them have caused this. Because, and I can only assume this to be altruistic, that they gave money in the theory that it will cure injustices.
Nope.
Money does nothing. You give a homeless man a million dollars, he won't turn his life around (others will do it for him, then he'll fuck himself over and be back where he was). This is not a quick fix. People have to be willing to fix themselves.
Systemic racism is that theory that you were screwed as soon as you were born. And there is no fixing that unless your mindset changes.
I was screwed from birth because I was brown and short. It bugs me, yes, HOWEVER, it gave me a chip on my shoulder to change myself. The system says short brown people are fucked. Even now. And laugh about it. I say I'm better off than half of America. So, that supposed victimhood mentality was turned into fuel for conquering adversity.
And to me, that's what it is about. The Left believe that systemic racism is here and always will be and when Blacks do crime, you can point to that. In other words, it's in their nature (you bigots!). However, the real answer is, to cure some of this is to tell a Black child at birth, they can be whomever they want in life. Especially in America. And don't allow anyone else to say otherwise.
We begin at day one...
