Cutting Costs

So...apparently Elon Musk has been appointed advisor to President Trump over cutting costs. I think it's a great idea. Take a oddball numbers cruncher and "visionary" and have him look at the nonsense that has been going on with spending. Specifically, STUPID ASS Democrat shit. Of course, Joe Idiot Biden couldn't cut this shit out. Because his lefty handlers would lynch him. It befuddles me how anyone can look at the government and not run it like a business. You need to give me results. Whether it be improving American lives or making lives easier. Hence, why Trump wants to get rid of the IRS. Because they're useless. Anyway, Democrats are fighting them. Why? Because the waste spending is mostly on shit they like. Stupid gay ass shit no one cares about. But it has been free money to them. Apparently for longer than we realize. How sad is it that Trump may be the ONLY U.S. Pres who actually looked at what the fuck we were spending money on. And, by the way, look at what Musk's contracts look like. Dissect the numbers and whether or not the United States is spending too much to his company. I think Musk knows the Democrats are so lazy and sloppy, they'd never forensically check it. He saw how lazy they are with this shit already. Stop stealing American taxpayer's money. Have integrity.

Trump Is President...Again

I didn't want to say it out loud. But Kamala Harris is absolute trash. A lot of my Lefty friends will vote for her simply because she passes herself off as a Democrat. In reality, she's nothing. An empty suit who did nothing and said nothing. And she got shellacked in this election year. What I keep saying and, my Lefty pals will not comprehend, Trump is NOT a bad President of the United States. He's a shitty New Yorker. I hate New Yorkers like him. But, in terms of policy, he did well the first time. The bullshit about raiding the White House and whatever is all propaganda. It seemed the more people did their homework, the more they realized mainstream media really painted it out to be an insurgence. Politics are funny. My stance has always been, NEVER EVER EVER support a career politician. Joe Biden was on government welfare his entire life. What does that mean? It means he owes too many people. He's useless, unless you have dirt on him. And he has a lot. The mainstream again decided to bury as much of it as possible. He's garbage. And will go down in history as such. He did nothing for America and tried to secure his legacy in ending a war. Which led to American soldiers getting killed. There was a better way. He just is shitty at foreign policy. And for Kamala Harris to associate with him was a disaster. How, now, did the American people NOT see this in 2020? Because security was amped this year. And it wasn't going to be stolen. Biden did not get the popular vote. He did NOT get the most votes ever in the history of presidents. Don't ever believe that shit. He was forced in by the career politicians. A lot of which disappeared in four years. Love to see Hilary Clinton's face now. I think her name should be a verb . "You got Hillaried" But I do have hope for the future: The night of the election, my niece messaged me about how she wanted me to vote for Trump on her behalf. Women Don't Give A Shit About You

Okay, folks, here's the reality. If you are suffering through life, women don't give a fuck. And you shouldn't give a fuck about them either. Frankly, they're as disposable as we are. The human race is at a point where the women are trying to outdo each other in looking like whores. To attact men. Having some kids. And raising losers. A good dude isn't what they want. Because a good dude doesn't/shouldn't go for that. They also should get with a woman who does care about the struggles and will struggle together. Full disclosure, I've been dumped plenty of times. Because I acted like a bitch. Women don't go for weak bitch. THEY are weak bitches. So that's that. Do NOT expect appreciation from them unless they want something from you. As you may have experienced...women fish all the time. They worship the ground of the man who does the least for them but looks good, to the guy who supports and nurtures her. That is because women want to fix bad. They can't fix a car. So fixing an emotion is just as good. The problem?: You guessed it, they use it to manipulate. Women, more or less, want to be left alone. Occasionally pop your head out to see if they need anything. You won't get shit. But she'll want something if she's nice to you. Or they fish for your attention. They are ruthless, fellas.

The Thing About The Elderly

I've absolutely no problem with old people. In my culture we are taught to respect them. Why wouldn't you? They lived long enough to see different iterations of life. Though most of us think we are unique, in the bigger picture we share similar issues. Trauma. Loss. Tragedy. Love. Anger. And so forth. However, there are some elderly these days that refuse to embrace their elderly-ness. That's when you bristle at their attitude. There is a 60+ year old co-worker of mine who can't seem to understand things. He does things HIS way. And he messes things up. Only to do those things again. Frustrating to watch. If you get upset, the people around you tend to take their side. Which is unfortunate as they don't see the resistance to change. My supervisor (who is 70+ himself) tends to say things like "he won't change" "he's not going to do what you tell him, so why bother?" This is true. At the same time, I reserve the right to berate his incompetence. My supervisor also tells me that he is attempting to save jobs. He doesn't listen or process well. Because if I am guiding him through the processes of how we do things, this is me attempting to save his job. The higher ups above my supervisor knows. To be fair, he doesn't really care about much. He doesn't want conflict. He's a colossal pussy. And he never wanted to be put in charge. He is perfectly happy being a button pusher. I know he gets the feeling that I think I'm better than him. In a way...yes, I am. Not in better as a human. He is a much better human. In terms of Buddhist live and let live attitude. But he's an idiot when it comes to being curious about life. He is a failed photographer. And...truth be told, for someone who trained hard to be one, his photos are awful. Objectively, sure. But they are bad. His composition skills are lacking. Nothing he takes is all that interesting. I think because his intellect gets in the way of creativity. The intellect tells you to expose well and use "the rules of three" The creative tells you it's all bullshit. What comes within you to be unique is what is much more effective. Try telling that to a 70 year old. Still, people should care and take pride in what they do. I think they stopped a long time ago and just see it as a job.

Never Trust Rich People

If you've been in the movie business long enough, you will know not to trust rich people. What they do is they lowball you, grease your nuts for a while. And then dump you for a better deal. It's despicable and understand rich people do it the most. Why? Because they're like women. Hypergamist. Look up the word. They go for whatever will get them what they want. Then leave when they get it. Or get bored and leave. IF you commit to them, they will punish you. But, back to rich people. Be aware of the words they use "this is all we have" "You're our hero for saving our passion project" Sound familiar. This is called "love bombing" and narcissists do this. Look, you're biggest power is to be very useful while, at the same time, not needing a damn thing. Set your standards lower and you will succeed. Don't ever trust what rich people say. Or at least grow a thick skin to their buttering. When you see it, it gets pathetic. Call them out on it. Burn that bridge. Remember, you don't need them for anything.

Wow It's Been A Minute

It's not so much that I'm less angry. It's that I'm busy. But from what? well, I started a club that only shoots on film. It's grown fairly large now with a lot of supporters. If you plan on making your own group, I have a suggestion for you: don't. Unless you have time and mental bandwith to deal with the public. This is not for you. I remember a while back when our club was just a handful of people. We sat around talking about gear and then that was that Today, making movies on film consumes a lot of brain power. Specifically, always planning ahead. There's so many people who are seeking a community and that's nice. But I rattle off the same dumb pitch that it has sort of drain some enthusiasm for it. Fighting people repetitively over film vs. digital medium gets exhausting. I don't think I need to rationalize myself. Nor need to fully answer questions. It's like they want me to justify something they should already know. Frustrating, for sure. My co-workers seem to like patting me on the head on this. They think it's a nice side hustle. In terms of guiding younger people into the movie business. Truth...most of them won't make it. As an ex-girlfriend use to say "life gets in the way" I think the older you get, the more you go with the flow. Wherever that may take you.

There Are No More Movie Stars

I had an amazing discussion with a young man who seemed to want to get into movie making but then added that there is no more purpose in doing so. His influences happened to be people who seemed to be more otherwordly, people like Stanley Kubrick or Antonioni. These were somewhat Gods of cinema. I'm sure during their time, they were seen as solid filmmakers, who stood out from their peers. Can you name someone today who you could say that about? Does anyone stand out? Perhaps Denis Villenueve, Christopher Nolan or Quentin Tarantino? He seems to be doing larger cinematic films. Seems we are starved for filmmaking heroes. I think the issue is that we have democratized media. Everyone now grows up with a camera in their faces and a camera in their pocket. Anyone and everyone can do it. So if that is the case, what makes you so special? In that sense, there are no more Gods. Which extends to movie stars. There aren't any. You have people that are in movies. But if you saw them in person, you wouldn't hold the same reverence as you would...say...Humphrey Bogart. I think there is a lack of respect for the craft. We don't hold much of that with the same importance we use to. Why would we? Everyone has a YouTube channel. Or get their popularity through social media. Everyone is a personality. And thus Hollywood has died. It is a shame because I recall it being so great to see artists strive for their craft, meticulously study it and make brilliant stories. As of now, not much.

Why Does Acting Suck Now

Everyone complains how awful acting in these days. Though they look back at the movies of the 80's an 90's and think we were so quaint. I have a few reasons. Because we need so much content now, writers have no time to write. That means dialogue falls to the wayside. Ideas are great, writing is bad. Actors now all subscribe to mumbling their lines. Now, I'm not saying it has to be the theatrical arena of acting. But cinema was meant to be conveying words to people. When they speak in whispers, they may seem to think that is real, but how often do you speak in whispers. Or mumble. That isn't acting, it's using a device to seem more earnst. Bad! Speaking of time, no one really has the time to make anything of quality anymore. They need content. They don't care where that content comes from but it better be fast. That means people don't take time to get things right in rehearsals. Everything costs a lot, mostly...time. Time is super expensive. Actors are stretched thin. The thing about movie stars is that they have to be in the spotlight so they don't get the early curtain call. You ever stop to think what happened to your favorite actors in the past? If they don't do back to back projects you think they retired. That gives actors not much time to figure out what the story is. It really trickles down. Bad writing, bad content, bad acting. Bad directing is another reason. The studios love to hire based on race or sex. I agree that there should be no barriers to whom should get to direct a movie. BUT when you specifically go out to hire that person the well is pretty thin. Typically they'll find the newest hottest director on the independent circuit. Then surround them with (somewhat) experienced people. Yeah, it looks and feels like a movie, but something is still missing. A mentonship program is much more effective. Actors also don't seem to care anymore. I get it though...the ones on the lower tier are desperate to make a mortgage or rent. So they do anything and everything. Regardless of whether or not they care about the material. If enough people turned down roles because they are so poor, soon real writers would step up their game. All we did was lower the bar. And it became "it's good enough" Now, I understand...acting is somewhat subjective. Good acting or bad acting. And a lot most definitely comes from content. But I am now REALLY aware of poor acting. I watch mainstream movies recently and am baffled how some roles seem so miscasted. That's another thing, shoehorning a up and coming name into the role. Even though they are completely wrong. Cultivating an onscreen personality os bigger than you realize. But no one seems to care. We fix this, we get better stories.

You Don't Like Biden, You Hate Trump

The transportation secretary (snicker) disappeared for 2 months during one of the worst times for transport of goods and prices were going up. And no one noticed. "The Woman King" - Law of Low Expectations

I will probably go see this movie because I like Viola Davis and it feels like another "Braveheart" Which I love inaccurate historical flicks of revenge. There's been much said about the falsehoods this movie portrays. Honestly, I think that's what the trailer is trying to do. This movie opened in over 4000 theaters. You think it wasn't going to make some money? Perhaps. But, if you think about it, it is REALLY low for a $50 million investment. Why aren't media mocking it as needing to make triple that to be considered success. Because the problem with Lefties is that it requires them to have low expections for Brown and Black people. Essentially, if you are a Democrat you are a racist. Racist don't know they're racist. They hide it under the guise of good will. Patronizing Black and Brown people isn't racism. You wouldn't treat your fellow White's with the same kid gloves. Being treated equal in life is about listening. And as I reiterated time and time again, no one listens. I do give an advantage to the Midwesterner. Since I consider myself one. I listen intently. Not to gather information but because you should be fascinated by people. Most people have banal conversations. Debate is a give and take. Any way, the fact that this movie is a 95% on that aggregate review site is vomitously funny. Even "Braveheart" had its detractors. Disney Is Determined To Blacken Everything

IMDB Sucks Ass

I did a review on IMDB on "Prey" First off, FUCK YOU, IMDB. The only reason you exist is to take the goodwill of people who work in the movie business. You are a parasite who lives off others. And information. OPEN information. And they took down my review. For what reason? I started the review with "Ask yourselves, if you weren't progressive would any of this movie make sense?" Some shaved head he/she probably thought this was too aggressive. Fucking idiots. It was a fair review of a spineless movie. Now, I could preface it with "well, look it's a movie" But since Disney+ and Hulu own this material, they didn't want to rock their boat. Therefore, this piece of shit garbage flick sits at a 7.2 rating. Sure. At some point these morons at these media pages are going to have to wise up that controlling people's tastes through censorship will backfire. There are other places people can go to express their viewpoint. In this case, this blogger site (which may be taken down as well). It's not so much they took it down, it's that it took them some time to do so. As if some person with an obvious agenda filtered it out as incendiary. Nope, it told the truth about the movie through my perspective. So they don't want dissenting voices. This is what fascism actually is. And though it seems petty that a stupid movie page does this, ask yourself why they felt the need to do it, if it wasn't that important. The paradox. Grow a fucking spine. I didn't swear in the review and I gave valid points. That wasn't good enough. And for those who think I shouldn't be making a big deal about it, I leave you with this...you are probably the same person who sits there with no opinion about life and lacks passion in anything. "Prey"

So, 20th Century Fox...er...Disney recently and quietly slipped by a "Predator" prequel called "Prey" Now streaming on Hulu and Disney+. I've not seen it but the back and forth of it being taking place 300 years ago and how a little Indian girl can kill a Predator (yah, right...it's not a spoiler here) with just the most basic of weapons. The concept is fantastic. Get back to the basics. Hunter vs. Hunter. Except it's a tiny girl who is, apparently peeved that she isn't taken seriously as a hunter. Now, the gripe from one side is that Hollywood is really stretching reality with a young girl taking down Predator thing. The other side just bashes on the people who can't get past that reality, instead of...you know...defending the case that a tiny girl can defeat a Predator. You know what bugs me? In the trailer it has her cowering in fear and nearly taken out by a bear when she is saved by a Predator. Surely she would've died had the Predator not been there. Later, she kills the Predator. Yup. Eye roll. Good ol' tough gal Pocahontas, Mary Sue's her way onto the leaderboard. I also noticed that anyone who questions the reality of it bases it on how one side doesn't like women leads. That's stupid. Everyone loves Ellen Ripley. Or Sarah Connor. Or any horror movie with a final girl. But even those movies knew modern vs. modern is the answer. You dumbasses who think we don't like women leads are massively retarded dinks who are trying to look like a feminist so ugly women will bang you. Speaking of which, I heard the Predator likes to probe things. You can be...uh huh...The Prey.

Speaking Of Time...

...I do NOT forgive when it comes to squandering my time. The balls on some people. Had a friend who thought I was on her schedule. Cut her loose. I'm infinitely more important than her. When I tell you to be somewhere at a certain time and you are late, you have no excuses. We are in Los Angeles, if you can't plan accordingly you will suffer at life. Wake the fuck up. My life is more important than yours if you ask any favor of me. I will continue to say that until it gets through your thick skull. If you are starting out, these are the dues you pay. You are the peon and run when you're told.

Your Time Is Not Important - Respect For Others Are

The thing with this business comes down to this: IF someone is doing you a favor, you are no longer on YOUR time you are on THEIR time. Get it through your thick fucking skull. And also check your ego. What irks me more than anything is when people take advantage of this. It goes like this...typically a hot girl will take forever to get ready. The longer they are late, the hotter they think they are. One day, those looks fade, and they will be left in the dark. Fitting. To me, I respect anyone's time. Especially if they are giving you their time. Anyone who does that is valuable beyond words. To many, they don't care. They will march at their own schedule. It is a poor way to go about life. And usually, they are losers at life. Listless without ambition. Or failures in grand ways. If you are to navigate life, you are to see others' time much more valuable to your own. Conversely, not allow others to continue to use you for it. For time is the only thing we have and MUCH more valuable than money. It is also a work ethic. Never be late. Consider others or learn life the hard way. You will lose many people in life this way.
