Or something like that. Big pet peeve, stop waiting to talk. Start fucking listening. I work with people who are waiting to talk. Hollywood functions like that actually. Ready to slap on all the projects they've worked on, so they can appear like they know what they fuck they're doing. Repeat...no one fucking knows what they're doing. So learn to listen. Exchange that acknowledgment that you heard their last words, THEN add your own. "Yes...And" is genius. Too many fucking people here think their addition to the conversation trumps yours. Listen closely...you will hear it. But I'll give them a little break...this town is so transient, that they probably don't care to remember shit you've said. And, by the way, this trains you to be this way. This makes you look painfully superficial. Big surprise. Trust me, you listen, acknowledge and engage you will go far. Though you'll more than likely confuse the narcissists.
