It's always strange when White folk say Black people use the n-word why can't we. Until they stop, some White folk refuse to not use it. I'm not sure the reason, only that I know it's wrong logic to use. I suppose it's as a term of endearment.
For instance I would never call a complete stranger "mah bitch." Have you ever noticed that random Black people acknowledge each other. As do Asians.
I'm also not sure why Blacks would latch onto a word that is deep seeded in such hatred. Maybe it's to laugh off the awful nature of the word. I've had Black friends call me it. They meant zero disrespect. In fact, in my mind it made me feel like I belonged. In Maher's case it's to jokingly use the word to say he wasn't some domesticated house n-word.
I hate the word. The more I hear it. Whomever says it. Though I've been known to say it in frustration. It sucks. Paula Deen got busted for it a few years back. Admitting to something everyone has said or heard at some point. I feel bad for her now. Because it's clearly out of context.
Should he be fired for using such a vile word? He probably will be suspended or he'll have to give up some dough. Or something. I don't think he should be fired, though the same people Maher is sick and tired of defending are the same that are causing him the most grief. I think it's unfair to believe Maher is a racist. Because we know he isn't.

"Wonder Woman" (2017)
For the record, ladies...for Hallowe'en this year, you don't have to go as Slutty Wonder Woman, just say Wonder Woman, we'll fill in the rest (hopefully)
A lot is going to be said about how sexy and aggressive and casting from the heavens Gal Gadot is as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince. And they aren't wrong. In fact, I say very much underrated. Though the movie is surprisingly stupid. I mean, REALLY dumb. For instance, having an alter identity when everyone knows what you look like. Also...throwing a guy through a table in the bar raises zero suspicion from the rest of the bar. I mean, they actually go back to drinking. So why did I enjoy this movie so much? Because it is without a single ounce of shame. It knows the wild set up it needs to go through, sets up absolutely nothing but wants you to like it so bad. It panders to women's lib like some rabid bitch in heat. And it makes no subtle hints at how silly it can be. And I have zero doubt...director Patty Jenkins is confused as to how she got away with it.
The story written by Zack Snyder, Allan Heinberg, Jason Fuchs and written by Allan Heinberg from characters created by William Moulton Marston starts off in some remote hidden island of Themyscira. Let's face it, it's Utopia. Women upon women who train in gladiator outfits talking weird talk and being sexy. There are no men in the island because...well, it's part of the lore. Diana as a child is desperate to learn how to fight. Her mother Hippolyta (Connie Nielsen) desperately wants her not to. As she knows a secret of what her true destiny may be. Secretly Hippolyta's sister Antiope (Robin Wright) trains her. Which becomes this very pedestrian test of wills. Child begs and pleads, mother relents. It's very...easy. And unfortunately the weakest link in the chain. The call to adventure is so...without effort.
The awful outside world literally plummets from the heavens when spy Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) falls through the invisible barrier and into the ocean to be rescued by a now grown up Diana. It is the first time she has laid eyes on a man in the flesh. They patch him up, but not before a mini-war happens between soldiers that were chasing Trevor, which results in some real tragedy.
Diana then decides to end the war by killing the God of War, Ares. Trevor thinks she's silly but brings her along to London to gather a raid party against a true villain in Lundenhoff. A power mad German who elicits the help of Dr. Maru (Elena Anaya) a chemical engineer whose grotesque face is covered by an exo-skin and is fixated on developing the perfect chemical weapon.
What is mostly discussed in this movie is the thought of war and what it does to the planet. It is a loud call for peace though, it's hard to take seriously when she's kicking so much ass. Most of which, these soldiers don't survive her wrath. What is thrilling, is when she is Diana Prince in disguise. She is endearing and naive. Much like Superman, he is a stranger in a strange land and has no clue why the world acts so chaotic. She gets a first hand look running from trench to trench in a heart swelling moment when Wonder Woman finally shows in all her splendor.
Look, the costume is super corny, but she makes it work. Like REALLY work. As she marches down gunfire, you forget this is silly. She bats away bullets. Which...I mean, you should have at least one German look as his gun like he was going nuts and toss out a flask of booze. But...I guess it's not that kind of movie. It's a movie where when you see Gal smack guys around, you do get a chubby and when she gets smacked around you also get wood. Win-win.
Overall, Gal really makes the movie work. I forgot that overwhelming message of women power, and had a good time because it's her unawareness of the material. Much like Arnold Schwarzenegger, she just wants you to have a good time and will do everything to make it so. There isn't a cynical bone in her body over it. And that sweetness just feels right. I know despite that this movie is a strong agenda towards female action movies, it is kind-hearted in the end, and nothing wrong with that.
Dammit Kathy Griffin
...I lost respect for you, whoever you are.
Don't hold a press conference and apologize but not apologize. Shit. And then claim YOU are the victim. You probably are, but at this time, no one thinks so. And then you cry. The trifecta!
You know what I would've done? Yeah, mother fucker, come at me! I 'aint afraid of no orange ghost. But instead, it was a waffle here and there. Though I'm not sure how much ground I could hold with my attitude, I'm sure her scheister bitch lawyer (who isn't public relations person) is coaching her up about it now. Dude, next time consult before you do something this dumb.
Finally...seriously, it's weird that I dedicate this much space to someone I kinda know about...stop sending her death threats. That's stupid. She's also lapping up the attention. As most entertainers do. Not that you feed into her ego or whatever, but it sure means someone is listening to this clown. And I doubt most of these people in America really have access anyway. The best you can do is send her a brisk criticism and move the fuck on.

Jim Carrey Defends Kathy Griffin
If I were Carrey I'd really lay low right now.
Los Angeles is pushing the trial of his ex-girlfriend Cathriona White, who he provided prescription drugs to in which she used to commit suicide. Not that his opinion isn't valid, just mis-timed with a justice system that really wants to fry him
And they will. For possibly criminal negligence and probation. You can't not feel for a person who killed themselves. Since it could be AJAX. You certainly shouldn't be suing that chemical company. Though, this is heavy duty drugs he had in his possession and it IS a criminal act to share drugs.
He is basically saying that comedians should not have a line they can't cross. Which is funny considering the politically correct police to which he defends this right were silent prior to one of their own being hassled. Jerry Seinfeld gave up at college campuses because kids are massive pussies now. Comedy doesn't work distilled. Which is his point. Though it took this to occur in order for them to speak up. It works both ways and now one is pointing fingers at the other over it. Shame on everyone.
Look, I was grossly offended by the Serbian women's volleyball team doing a slanty-eyed gesture. It's not really comedy, but it was meant to be a light-hearted jab at the Olympics being held in Japan. Okay, not for me. So, I don't see the line. And I'm actually okay with Griffin posting that photo. I just don't happen to find it funny. Others will. I'm not going to shut her down over it. Though I'd wish she quit, BECAUSE she's so unfunny. That's something else entirely.

No One Likes Me Because I'm Too Blunt
I hear this a lot from people who have very little friends. I use this excuse sometimes. Turns out you don't have to always say everything on your mind. You can respect your friend to lie to them. In fact, they probably would prefer it that way.
The books of manners in the past have indicated this. Be courteous without being phony. Put yourself in their position and so forth. The Asian community is AWFUL with this concept. Read my blog and you can see it. It's abrasive and annoying...sometimes. Sometimes, it's cathartic. Perhaps I do it here so I don't have to in public. I know there are people who have dropped out of my life because of these moments.
I recall a girl I'd hung out with a lot in college who has never forgiven me for crossing a line. I doubt she ever considers our relationship, which at the time was incredibly close. I think she has a more sensitive side than she lets on. Probably to shield a lot of personal historical pain.
I also realize a lot of people...well, they also tamp down all the bad stuff in themselves. Lashing out and being angry does no one any good and doesn't really make anyone like you. The entire attempt seems more trouble than its worth to someone who constantly believes they are compelled to tell you their real feelings. This is going to jeopardize your future.
I also hear a lot of women use this as an excuse as to why they are alone. It's strange because they understand why and refuse to change. So, it will take a special person to "get them."

Dead French Cop Marries Live One!
From Huffington Post:
"Xavier Jugele, 37, was shot dead April 20 on the Champs-Élysées three days before the French presidential election. The Islamic State later claimed responsibility for the attack, which
left two other officers wounded. The gunman, identified as Karim Cheurfi, was shot dead by security forces.
Though
details of Wednesday’s nuptials are scarce, Etienne Cardiles married
Jugelé in a ceremony attended by former French president François
Hollande and Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo. It’s believed to be the first posthumous same-sex wedding to take place in France (where marriage equality has been the law of the land since 2013) and possibly the world."So to sum up gay police officer murdered by hateful Muslim is getting married to his boyfriend...even though he's dead. Yep...French have lost their fucking minds. Though it is NOT without logic...for 1940's. According to the law, apparently it was made to help widows of soldiers who had lost their husbands and were pregnant but were not married. So, religiously speaking, they weren't whores. These are gay dudes getting married posthumously. And now the jokes...
"Weekend At Bernie's" comes to mind. OR...
...hope the groom doesn't have cold feet!
Needs some stiff drinks...
And so forth.
What a world.
More Kathy Griffin
I don't think they should've fired Kathy Griffin over that photo.
She is a self-proclaimed comedian. Though very unfunny. She still has the right to say these things. Also, what the fuck is Trump doing whining about some sad sack comedian? Something about his stupid fucking kid who can't tell the difference? Or maybe it was Kathy's face that sent him running.
See the exchange from a person who isn't a child would've been:
"Thanks Kathy for giving me more hair on that dummy than I actually have" - DJT
Man! Would that make the liberals swoon. And that proved he had a sense of humor. AND more people would like the guy. Even Ronald Reagan had that sense of humor. Yeah, the more I think about it the less I like the situation.
