The Old Days Are Over

There's going to be a generation out there, a small few who will have completely missed the heyday of Hollywood. When people could party hard and make great films. They won't miss it because they won't know it. Some younger people who want to get into show business will seek out the behind the scenes stuff and wonder how primal we were. Some people are perfectly fine moving on from that point. I am, in a way. I've always hated that frat fag shit. The ones where you have to pretend to be a cocksman. That stuff drives me nuts. Having grown up with two sisters, it's insulting when some (typically middle aged White fella) elbows me and says "did you fuck her?" When I spent the last 10 minutes explaining that I was making a film. The point zipped past their fucking stupid heads. THIS, I will NOT miss. These uber-supposedly-male speak that some feel they must say to seem less gay. Feminist seem to latch onto this quality as the one to emulate. If you become a dirty slut, you present yourself as such and dare people to say otherwise. Uh huh. If you ever want to know what feminism (modern) is. It's that. We can fuck whomever we want, talk dirty and we're empowered. Okay, doesn't stop a guy from backhanding you back to the kitchen, idiot. So you're missing out on good stuff. And too bad. It was fun hanging out in dive bars and mulling over story lines while watching bums fistfight. Or grousing about how the leading actor or actress is fucking some grip. Or who's gay. Or whatever. See, part of the fun of creative arts is so that we can entertain each other through these means. Being famous then meant power. And power was fun, but sometimes demeaning. I'm sure that won't be missed. Rich famous people tend to do weird shit. Those stories existed then. Won't exist anymore. Mostly because we've reached peak human weirdness. Has it occurred to you that no stories you've heard, no matter how depraved is MAYBE shocking for...um...ten seconds. Then you realize it's not the weirdest thing you've heard all day. Strange, right. Also, Hollywood was a secret society in a sense. The Jeff Epstein, Harvey Weinstein debauchery existed solely in the entertainment business, because the most beautiful and most broken come here to fix something. Predators take advantage and so was born...Marilyn Monroe's. That won't exist anymore. Because if EVERYONE is famous, no one is. And if EVERYONE can direct or act, you aren't any better. It's what they called the "democratization of Hollywood" when digital cameras became the phone in your hand. It's insulting to people who study or care. Because no one really cares. However, I'll say this much...those who spent their youth making lo-fi videos do set out to find the source. EVERY single person I've known to have started out with the bare minimum have moved on to discover the traditional way of filmmaking. I think they're bored with digital and seek out a challenge. Also, no one feels accomplished with instant gratification. So I feel that's changed. But the culture of Hollywood, has changed. Some good, mostly bad. Legends were made. Today, there are no legends, and no one is impressed with anyone. I hardly believe people would go nuts if they saw Kevin Hart in real life. Or...shit, name me the biggest star today...maybe Leo DiCaprio? I don't think the screaming and the cheers and whatever, because stars have been outed as human. And humans don't deserve your slobbering. I still get excited to see Charlize Theron though. Taps into my college years. Even that fades.

Trump Is Gonna Win Again And The Left Don't Have A Clue Why

I go to a park near Sylmar, California. That if you see the demographic, it is mostly Hispanic. They are hard working people who have generations of family around. I ran into a man in his 60's working out as well. What the Lefty Dems don't understand is...you done forgot them brown folk. Yeah, we know, you wrote us Asians off. So we're going to fuck you up. But now you have to contend with Hispanics who don't like you Leftys focused on Blacks. Yep...the 13%. THIS, folks, is how dumb the Democrats are. And most who vote Democrat are really dumb or stubborn. They REFUSE to believe anything that is going well, is going well and rely heavily on media. I know of a few who are staunch Dems who refuse to vote for Trump regardless of their own beliefs. Heard it with my own ears. I don't try to convince them, but am baffled by how obtuse they are to facts. That aside, I don't fault their loyalty. It's like still believing in Santa Claus. NOT that I would ever tell a 30-40 year old to have hope. But here's the thing...there are little clues the Democrats aren't listening to that tell you why Trump will win again. The first is that what we say on social media has ZERO bearing on how one votes. It's simply to say...virtue signal. Yes, twice now I've had conversations (actually more) where people have admitted they are disgusted by the disgusting conniving of the Democrats. Yet their social media post multiple support for their causes. In short...they're phonies. They pretend as such so they can pretend to be with the cool kids. And that's fine. Trump isn't for the cool kids. However, younger people actually think Trump is cooler now that their parents hate him with so much passion. Remember, we don't like the music our parents listened to until much later. These little clues are missing. We don't admit it out loud because we don't want the temper tantrum. As I've experienced it already. The Democrats and Leftys cause scenes. They love attention. And burning and looting and so forth is their forte. Most of the celebrities hate the Left as well. The candidates they chose were as a result of some funny money. Joe Biden was their best choice? How dumb was that? Oh wait, they did soemthing even MORE dumb and got Kamala Harris. No one likes her. So what's the gambit here? People have lost faith in truckloads. And more are "walking away." The Left are unfun, bitter losers who get unfun by the minute. And it's getting worse. Ever since their convention, they dropped even less in the polls. This is a replay of 2016. Biden does not show in states that he should be going to (Hillary). This is dumb. Which the Left and media think is smart...for some reason. Got me. So, when the Democrats lose again...Do NOT be shocked or surprised. They have lost their way. The Dems are so deep into two dead horses, they are making dog food. IF they want to get back into America's good graces, I do have a speech for them, that if they were wise, they'd consider...ahem... "America, we screwed up. We realize that choosing Biden and Harris that you would see they are not Trump. So what has Trump been doing that is so bad? We really do not know. What we know is that Anti-Fa and BLM are garbage human beings and we intend to shut their garbage now with extreme prejudice. It's gone on WAY too long and business and people are suffering for it. Next step, is to find a way through the pandemic where we re-open the country safely. The statistics prove we can do it IF we use common sense. And we trust you care about your fellow Americans to do so. Finally, we all will stand for the American flag. America is great and many people have suffered to get here. The Media Truly Thinks You're An Idiot

So all you garbage looters and rioters. When you realize your cause is fueled by lies and stupidity, you -- well, I'm not going to say you'll wise up, because you may be a fucking moron. The reality is, everyone looks out for themselves. NOT in a bad way. It's that we were born alone and we'll die alone (but what about twins, you fuck?! You're still fucking alone idiot. Unless you're conjoined, then you're fucked anyway). That aside, the media is gaslighting you to pick Joe Biden as the President of The United States. The Democratic National something or other was going on via zoom or something. Since we can't have conventions. MAN! Do I miss the Hollywood Show. So they blathered on about how bad Donald Trump is. Even though I've never been wealthier than I am under his watch. That isn't the point, but I'm also...I feel much better. Maybe because the Left are so miserable. No...I feel...more relaxed. Because, well, a few things. Except for Los Angeles, my life is much more serene. I feel calmer about things. Something seems more positive. Maybe because I also now know everyone is in the same boat as me. We're all on an island. And what we've discovered is that some people know how to survive solitude, while others will collapse. I pity those people. So the media likes to believe Biden is some savior of big bad Trump. Notice how NO Republicans have stepped in to defend Trump either. Guess what that tells you? Trump is the only independent candidate we really have. The Republicans want Trump or the like to disappear as well simply because they want business as usual...as well. Why? So they can go back to being useless. Politicians and career politicans are useless. They do nothing. Ever. Trump is the first President to get anything done, because he doesn't give a fuck about your feelings. Well, you may say...wait till he gets to something I like and wants to shit on it. He has. But in my mind, it meant better for others. Get that? A LOT of people have been so held hostage by politicans for so long, they don't know how to take it. Politicians (career) argue and deal and deal some more and sell to the highest bidder. Not to say Trump doesn't, but he doesn't know that political dance. He doesn't owe anyone (that I know of). He sees a threat to America or to companies, weighs the options and makes it happen. It's radical, I know. If something needs to be fix, just fix the fucking thing. Both sides want to talk and talk and TALK until nothing gets done. So far Trump has gotten so much done in so little time, because he doesn't give a fuck about all that talk. He just wants to go back to playing golf or whatever. I understand now. I had jury duty where lawyers just whipped a dead horse until it became ashes. THESE are career politicians. They are innundate with so much garbage you don't know what the fuck is going on. Trump cuts through the bullshit and just does it. And then reaps the criticism later. Only to discover it was fine. People are pissed because of it. In a lot of ways, Alexandria Cortez, the young rep from New York City is the same. But she's an idiot...now. When she starts to get more experience, maybe she will see clearer. But for the time being, she's a moron. But she, too, likes to GET SHIT DONE (though she hasn't gotten anything done except ruin her district). IF she can put aside her fake feminism and identity politics aside, she could be effective. Her directness (most likely due to naivete) is her greatest asset. She needs to swallow her pride and think more logically. It can happen. But the media. Jesus. What a shit show. Biden and VP candidate Kamala Harris are not the answer. They are politicians. I mean, bad ones. Harris is a flip flop nut who says what she needs to say to survive. She's an abused surivor. Like the Heather Graham character in "Bowfinger" she fucks anyone who gets her to where she needs to be. This is not a criticism. HOWEVER, media seems to bury this fact. Stubborn Friends

I know a guy who will yeah yeah yeah you so you stop talking and then he'll go fuck up his life regardless of what advice you give him. And then wonder why his life is so fucked up. These people I will never get. There is a simple solution... ...ask for help. Unfortunately, pride...ego and whatever bullshit you have when you are younger with a chip on your shoulder gets in the way. When I started learning golf (and still learning) I asked every and all stupid questions. Turns out everyone sucks at the game except the professionals. Everyone else is just shooting with mechanics in mind. HOWEVER, it never prohibited me from learning or asking. Then adjusting. TOO MANY people in the movie business have something figured out and it never is figured out. The best you can do is to plan on A) staying consistent B) staying the course The people who wash out should have seen it like a slot machine. You can't win if you don't keep playing (great for this business, horrible if you're a degenerate gambler). When you leave this town, most do not come back. For whatever reason, this is a pipe dream. I know of a couple who left Los Angeles. Both came out with aspirations to be in the film industry, both became "adults" and decided this was too much to deal with. Both are huge Leftist who will probably annoy their new neighbors back south East. They don't cotton to "big city fucks" shoehorning their Leftist propaganda. They will suffer accordingly. But it's still a better place to raise a family than this place. Podcaster Joe Rogan knew this. Got paid big bucks and high tailed it for dryer land. The thing about this city is, it's run by politicians who were lifers. They could care the fuck less about "entertainment" business if they want to hobknob with the famous elite. Hollywood is a big enough place to disappear but also not big enough where if you have a work ethic you will survive. I am no longer dragging anyone along with me. Did that too many times for newbies who came here because they thought this city was going to be easy. Even though they probably knew, logically, it was hard. Or to get away from their parents. Not to be a total dick, but there is something rewarding when you hear of people leaving this city. Less traffic but also...you outlasted one other person who thought they knew the system better than you. Also, STOP LYING TO YOURSELF. This gets to me more than anything else. I talked to a friend how much I hate being on set. And if you've followed this blog, you know I've mentioned it a few times. Yes...I hate being on set. But I like being on set when I have something to do. Or that I can contribute. OR that people listen. The friend told me that I am in the wrong business if that is my attitude. This from the mouth of a newcomer to the city. Here's the ONLY thing a newb can say or ask "Why do you hate it so much?" Followed by "oh man, I see your point." Too many newbs enjoy being on set. Why? Because they're idiots. Or they work on garbage projects where no one cares. OR they're being funded by relative. Look, grow the fuck up and see it as work. It has fun MOMENTS. It's not fun. And oftentimes, very dangerous. You owe so many people at the end of the day, and you suffer because you can't afford what is going on in your mind. Regardless of all that, you HAVE to be happy with what you get. And know that's what you can get. I was never happy compromising. But I do. William Goldman (celebrated screenwriter, so fucking listen) said it as well. You won't be happy doing this. If you are, you aren't doing it right. And if you think this is a fun ride, you're retarded. Rejection, anger, ego is just a small part of what will really suck. Having to work a 9 to 5 (incidentally, I offered a job to the friend leaving town and hadn't heard back about it...see? Guess it wasn't that important). Okay, so it's true you don't have to be in Hollywood to make any sort of movie. Completely understand, and agree. You do have to admit to yourself you came out here for a reason. And then you failed. That is a moment to regroup and rethink. Perhaps even tell doomsdayers like me that I fucking warned you. Everyone gets the warning, no one hears it. So, be open minded to the downside of the business. Which, more and more now is corporate. You know that saying "do what you love, you'll never work another day in your life." Guess what they left out? Prepping you for a struggle. Because in most minds, it's that you love what you want to do, don't have the resources to do it and never will. I once asked a prominant director of photography how he navigates through this business. His answer... focus on what's in front of you. Most people already focused on who they think they are. The arrogance will kill you.

The thing with the Left is...no one really knows who they are. Are the Democrats. Anti-Fa or Black Lives Matter. These are ALL terrorist organization. Their stance is...do what we want you to do or reap the consequences. That's not law and order. Though, I can sympathize with why they are tired of the establishment. They're going about it all wrong. Angry people are irrational (like me sometimes). Angry people on the Left are children. Instead of a healthy way to vent, they place their hate into destruction. Of physical things in America. And all you fucking morons who say things can be rebuilt. I understand you're completely useless to society and lack EMPATHY (you know that shit you say I lack because I don't give a fuck about your terrorist organization?) they spent their entire lives building it and their entire savings invested in it. So I drove into Hollywood and past the CNN building. Right then and there I wanted to go in and slap everyone who worked there (that's legal according to them now, right). They have a scrolling marquee that read some of the DUMBEST fucking propaganda rally shit I've ever read. A public marquee. "Trump directed Federal Agents Battle Peaceful Protesters" "Living Through Historic Times- Covid-19" and blah blah blah. This is NOT news if you fucking lie. Or lie by omission. There is ZERO evidence that they have been "battling" peaceful protesters. IF a fucking protester attempts to BURN DOWN A FEDERAL BUILDING, that is a fucking rioter, you fucking idiots. But the headline...Jesus Christ. This nonsense is what's keeping us mostly in. Then pile it on with a pandemic. Then...what's next. The LEFT is purposely allowing lives to end so that they can regain power from Trump. Wake the fuck up. As I've said before, when the PR battle doesn't matter any more and the optics of civility die, many on the Right will visit CNN or others like it first. They're just too fucking stupid to realize. Wait, I take it back, they do know it, that's why they're posting these headlines ahead of the angry Right coming for them. Because legal or not, Leftist media won't be able to hide behind the law they are cheering to go away.
